What are dog tags made of?
The dog tags are hand-stamped on sturdy, golden-hued brass or silver-colored nickel silver. Both metals are exceptionally durable and aesthetically pleasing, making them the perfect choice for an elegant and sturdy nameplate. Each piece is crafted with attention to the finest details, making every address plate unique—no two are alike.

On the front of the ID tag, we’ll print your pet’s name and the design of your choice, and on the back, up to two phone numbers. If you’d like to add two numbers, simply enter them in the “phone number” field.

We include a care kit for your address tag (steel wool and a polishing cloth) with your order, which will help you keep your address tag looking great for longer.
If the tag is very dirty, rinse it with water. If necessary, use soap, then wipe it down with the cloth included in the package. For light soiling, steel wool and a polishing cloth will suffice.
The text on the tag is stamped into the metal and filled in with a permanent marker. However, the black filling may fade slightly over time—especially if the metal comes into frequent contact with water. In this case, you can easily refresh it by filling in the letters with a permanent marker or black nail polish. Once completely dry, simply gently remove the excess—using a little acetone on a cloth or steel wool.

Instruction: To attach the ID tag, simply unscrew the screw, thread the clasp through the loop in the collar or harness, and tighten firmly (preferably with pliers). We recommend checking every so often to make sure the clasp is securely fastened.
